CORRECTION:

MOTOROLA DATASHEET SHOWS 1N4007 AS A 1000V.

THE ISSUE HERE FOR SCOTT IS : WHICH OF THE 2 DIODES HE MENTIONED IS AN ACCEPTABLE REPLACEMENT. DEFINITELT THE 1N5408.

THE 1N4007 IS A 400PRV at 2.5A

THE 1N5408 IS A 1000PRV at 3.0A

I WOULD USE THE 1N5408
