She's aware of the component option, but really doesn't want to go that
way. I have a couple of old Garrards and BSRs myself which I could have
given her myself, except for the fact that they don't work so good. Gee,
if I recall correctly they didn't really work so good when they were new.
 (Do you remember what they used to say BSR stood for?)  If nothing else
turns up I'll suggest a turntable system as better than nothing, but I
suspect there might be a LOT of old 3-speed record players out there
begging for a good home!
