[NJARC] KC2UAK makes contact!

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reception report! I wish I had heard you, maybe we could have hooked up.

It was about 3 AM when I shut down -- I think the band was shutting down, and W1IA was having trouble copying me at that point.

The noise level was very low, and at one point W1IA was an informal net control for stations in NJ (me), Wyoming (WD0ZS of Electric Radio fame, who couldn't hear me) OK, AL, OH, and other places. It was quite a night.

My only gripe was that earlier in the evening, there was WAY too much clowning around going on -- it sounded like CB. I couldn't break in, or get a word in edgewise. At about 1 AM, some of the clowns went off the air,
and I finally had a chance. Plus, there was some wingnut babbling along with an extended "old buzzard" transmission that made no sense. I hope Uncle Charlie nails that guy. ;-)
