Well hell! if the bidding went anything over $100. I'd have requested pictures of the inside before bidding.  That wood base to the stand is kinda weird, but the shell itself is a decent 5A, and you can put a WE double button element in there, assuming the mounting configuration is still intact ---  including the springs!

You're right: somebody IS gonna have a surprise waiting for them...........
