Hi Aaron,

We carefully aligned three radios, and I couldn't swear that any were
working correctly. They all sounded the same when tuned across the band
AM however. So I'm glad to hear your's is working. That probably means
the others are as well.

It's the double wammy: The building is pretty RF tight, especially at
broadcast frequencies. A really good radio will pick up maybe one
station. In addition, the noise level is very high. The radios that
"worked" were in positions where they received very strong signals form
Neville's transmitter.

The spiderweb of wires on the outside of the building may contribute to
the problem. When you went outside, I'm not sure if it's just as noisy
out there, or if the noise followed you via the extension cord.

I usually bring an active antenna on a tripod that I place outside by
the sidewalk. Radio's connected to this via coax, at least sorta,
behave like radios, as in hearing 5 or 6 NYC stations. I do this
because I find situations like we had Saturday to be very frustrating.
I was just too snowed under to bring all the stuff along this time.
