I got good reception from Nevilles' transmitter but Al Klase next to me had poor reception. I got out a small transistor radio and found the reception very spotty as I moved around. It ended at my bench and picked up at various spots around the work tables. Given the long wire Neville strung up this was very surprising but might explain your problem?

For those of you who saw me working on my Silvertone 9006 table radio
(see below) and barely receiving the transmitter set up in the room, the
radio plays fine here at home. I even took it outside with an extension
cord and received the same static as inside. This one has a loop for an
antenna. A GE with a long wire antenna I brought a couple of years ago,
also would not work at the Sarnoff Center but performed well at home.
I heard other AM radios picking up the transmitter in the room just
fine. Al, what gives?
