John et all, Eye tubes rarely have emission faults. Increasing filiment voltage does not brighten them. The fault is with the phosphors.Some brightening can be accomplished by increasing the target ( phosphor plate) voltage. Once they get so dim that the orange glow from the heater is brighter than the green on the target, use them for target practice.
