Many thanks to you all for the thorough replies regarding how to navigate
to the NYPL resources.

Of course I will call ahead when my travel plans firm up.... And I'm sure
I'll write about how my first trip worked out.....

It's great to find a piece of old gear to add to the collection but some
of my best A-Ha! moments have been while scanning through spools of
microfilm that may have not been touched for a decade or more.
