Steve,
         If you can't come up with a quad of 6CA7/EL34's through any other 
sources, I can attest to the Chinese and Russian tubes available on the 
internet for "reduced" prices. They're pretty good, and work just as well as 
the American and European counterparts as far as I'm concerned. The 
Electro-Harmonic branded tubes are made at the "Sovtek" factory may need a 
little more bias on them, but work as well as Mullards, etc. The Chinese 
tubes will probably be "Shunguang" branded.
