[NJARC] Be the first on your block!

Please let me ask this question, since I'm rather uninformed about the new
converter boxes, etc, and I don't watch much television.
Let's say that (for argument sake) my television set consists of a generic
10 YO "K-Mart" 19" color television with a pair of rabbit ears on top for an
antenna. Will television stations still be broadcasting, just in digital? In
other words, with a converter box I'll still be able to pluck signals out of
the aether.
Scenario #2: I own a late model cable ready TV set, but operate it off of a
pair of rabbit ears and don't have cable. Is this TV "converter ready" since
it's a late model set?
Please excuse my ignorance on the subject. I'm just trying to get afew
things clarified.
Best Regards and thanks in advance for any advice on what to do.
