    To all....Yes,there are good bargins to be had these days!I
 had purchased two radios in Fitchburg Mass this year at an anti-
 que shop and they were VERY reasonable.(tombstone+cathedrial)In
 upper-state Penn,I purchased a Ware cathedrial at an antique store
 and it was very reasonable.(Ware was made in Trenton)In Trenton,
 my friend Ray T. got me a Philco 38-3 in great condition.That part
 of my vacation was good.Stuff is around,just not as abundant from
 20 years ago.   For the fabric covered line cord,have you tried
 the brown shoe lace trick?
