Thanks for all the replies! I think I only need to borrow one (1) disk to see if this thing works. Sharkey's Machine, eh John? I remember the title but not the stars (probably a good thing). That should be good enough if you can bring it. If I really like this thing I may contact Mike for some rentals ;)
I have read that it has some belt(s) that may have problems over time. I forgot about the needle. Thanks for the manual link Ken. It points to a model 400 which I suppose is later than the one I have though similar in appearance. This is a model 250 stereo. Maybe not much difference but I'll know more when I put on my magnifiers to read the online manual (it is kind of tiny - even when magnified). Again, thanks to all!
