Anyone interested in swapping their (close to or)
working ART-13 transmitter for my very nice condition
Stromberg-Carlson No. 846 "Art Console" receiver?

S-C is in good overall shape: a few pieces of veneer
missing, but small ones. Missing one console door
knob- other original is present. Nice patina. Radio
face is in excellent condition- beautiful pressed
wood, with original full set of wooden carved knobs.
Rear lattice replaced with duplicate of original.
Speaker reconed professionally- 12". New speaker
cloth, similar to original. Speaker housing area had
top-layer delamination, but I countered with
plexiglass covering to preserve the original S-C tube
and tuning charts.(Does not show unless back of
receiver lattice removed) Otherwise, pretty much
original. 10 tube, 3 screen grid, AVC, tuning meter.
Original price new: $347.50(East of Rockies, without
tubes) in 1929/1930

Receives very nicely.

Contact me if interested: I am shifting more towards
military SW/Ham equipment, and would like an ART-13 to
go with my BC-348 for Ham use, and for WWII USAAF
displays at airshows, militaria and veteran's
displays, etc. I still think this is an excellent
piece, but would be willing to trade for the right
ART-13. (I can deliver & pick up in South/Mid NJ,
SE-Pa.)

Thanks!
Scott
