Hi Marty,
Interesting story, thanks. That's a very good way to
disable the short-wave in a non-destructive way. I'm
sure most radio guys just went in and cut and chopped.
Perhaps the way your RCA was "fixed" is also what was
done to my grandfather's Grunow. Whatever it was, my
Grandpop and my Dad were able to undo it so that
Grandpop could hear Opera and Il Duce.
