Gents-
I've just picked up a lovely Stromberg Carlson Model
846A(60 cycle model).

Does anyone in the club work with Stromberg Carlson? I
am used to Philco and I am not sure what I should look
at, should there be any issues.(I am planning to
release a few of my projects I just will not be
getting to any time soon)

I found the schematics on Nostalgia Air, and am trying
to figure this machine out.

The general condition is very good- needs the speaker
recored, and a piece made or found for the dial
mounting: the original pot-metal piece has serious
cracks, and no longer will grip the tuner shaft. I am
also looking for an original door pull knob and stud-
one is missing. And, of course, as all my radios seem
to have, the grill cloth is in need of replacement. I
have to do a little case repair, the speaker
box/chassis mount needs cleaning and new laminate
needs to be put on. The original inside stickers are
present in about 95% condition, and I am planning to
scan and reprint them...

I have not even attempted any power up at this time. I
have a list of proper resistances to check against,
but I was wondering what I was dealing with here- It
appears there are a block of flat box condensors. The
chassis itself is a beautiful heavy copper
construction, with all types of shielding.

Any replies appreciated! I am planning to make this
month's meeting(for a change... Very busy lately) and
hope to be able to chat with someone regarding this
nice receiver.

thanks!
Scott
