Thanks Alex, you're better than Wikipedia! I remember listening to a 16 2/3 rpm auto phono player in my friend's 1956 De Soto. It sounded OK when the car was parked but had about a 2 oz stylus pressure to keep it on track when the car was moving. Nick Senker
