Hi Joe,
I think a net is a good idea, especially now that people can much more
easily get a ticket. There are some problems. Here my run-down on
options. What did I miss?
*2-Meter FM via Repeater* - This might be the most practical. I think
Mike Christiansen has an "in" with a repeater club. The whole thing's
not very vintage however.
*2-Meter AM Simplex - *We tried this a while back with some success. It
looked like I could work the guys "down town" (Middlesex) due to my 450
foot elevation. I expect it would be out of the question for you and
Rob, K2WI. There are also frequency coordination challenges.
*75-Meters - *Would have to be early morning or late afternoon to be
practical. A decent high-angle antenna will be a problem for a lot of
folks, including yours-truly after moving to Jersey City. But I think
this is our best shot.
*40-Meters - *Noonish Saturday or Sunday might work.
*20-Meters and Down* - NG - We're all in the skip zone.
What do you all think?
73,
Al
