Dear NJARC Executives:
You have to agree that the youth bidding on the radio with his Bids over the
five bucks he had in hand was a Heart warming experience...
It was on my mind all the way home from the meeting...
He lost his bid to one of us old guys who had loads more money than the five
bucks that little guy had literally in his waving hand...
Yes...he did get some other radios...but Hey guys....do we really want to
take money from the kids who want to start learning and exploring Radios???
Yes...it was a unique event - that little kid bidding against us adults -
and
it initiates this MOTION:
I respectfully propose that the Executives of NJARC do establish a "Youth
Program" which provides youngsters certain advantages and largesse so as to
encourage their skill and knowledge development with Radios.
One specific "Advantage" is giving them Free First Crack at the 'stage
stuff'
that usually gathers for auction...yes...let them have it for free....and
limited..say to any 3 items.
Another "Advantage" is to accept their auction bid...and if they win...they
pay the winning bid dollar amount divided by their age....
I'm sure you guys can think of many other encouraging Advantages....
Just have a Heart.
Regards,
Stephen Tetorka
