Phil/Folks,
I agree with Ray (surprise!). You have a good voltage
safety margin, so the equalizing resistors are not
necessary. Also, I suspect that this practice started
long ago, when there were wide variations of leakage
from cap to cap of the same value. With modern
manufacturing technidues, that's not the case -- the
caps are relatively uniform. So don't bother with the
resistors.
