Hi Joe:
It appears that my 204A 1020's transmitter is about as good as it will
be...as presenty wired...40 RF watts to antenna on 3.88
Had several QSO's and got "very good's"..."no signal drift"..."sounds like a
carbon mike ( as I employ it )"...most importantly - measurements I took:
RF level at 5 inche from RF Tank:
3.8 -14 db
7.7 -14
15. -28
30. -48
Under center of 80 M dipole:
3.8 -20db
7.7 -70db
At rcv'ing station 1 mile away:
NO harmonics detected.
Am putting a 160 coil into form....and making a beefed up PS for 100 watts.
Also...might have a 15,000W transmitting tube on the way....don't know how
many VDC I might need...and have to call JCPL for extra juice.
Keep'm Glowing,
Steve
