Dave,

    You can do alot with a mig machine, and they are by far the easiest to 
use of all the processes. If you plan to do aluminium, you will need argon 
sheilding gas, steel argon/co2 mix, or, for steel you can use flux core wire, 
aluminium you cannot.  I know a little about this stuff, tho i admit, not nearly as 
much as the person who has taught me. What kind of machine did you purchase? 
what amperage capacity? 120 input? or 220? I can try to give you a little 
assistance, or at least as much as I know!
