[NJARC] Attention History Fans

Hi Friends and fellow history enthusiasts,

On Wednesday the 9th, PBS will premier a documentary miniseries called,
"Slavery and the Making of America".  I thought you might be interested
because of your personal connection to me or your interest in agricultural
or naval history.

The story of Colonel Tye, who was called Titus as a slave, was filmed at
Howell Living History Farm, where I work.  Because of my role as ox
teamster at the farm, I took on the role of Titus' master.

A later episode will tell the story of Robert Smalls, an enslaved sailor in
the Confederate Navy who led his crew mates in stealing their ship and
surrendering it to the US Navy.  

For those of you in my home area, WHYY 12 will show the first 2 episodes on
Wednesday night at 9PM.
