The "Philco" General Electric E105 is listed in the Stein "Pre-War
Consoles" at $375. It is described as a 10 tube set. It has the
broadcast band, a second band, 1680 KC to 6000 KC and third band, 6 to
18 MC. It has "Colorama Tuning", the dial scale turning from red to
green while tuning stations. Listed as having a 12 inch speaker and 14
watts max. output. I guess the "Colorama Tuning" is the reason for the
high value placed by Stein. Given the condition described for the set
in question, I would be surprised if it sold for half that amount.
