Fellow NJARC members,
Is anyone familiar with the Philco model E105? This is a 1936 console
model. A photo is available at fuenterrebollo.com/Radios/ge105.html.
I was contacted by a person looking for information, and perhaps to find
a buyer for her grandparents' set. Although this is a fairly nice looking
set, I cautioned her that it is not likely to be worth an awful lot. But
since there are always exceptions and I'm not personally familiar with
this model, I thought I'd throw it out to the group for opinions.
The set is in fairly good condition. I'm told that it appears complete
other than for a few blemishes in the original finish, and the fact that
it is missing three of the knobs. Working condition is unknown as she has
wisely decided to not plug it in.
If you have an educated guesstimate regarding a reasonable asking price,
or are interested in inquiring about purchasing it, you can contact the
owner, Julie Moore, directly at jmoore-at-davapharma.com or reply to me
on or off this list and I will forward your information.
Thanks,
--Dave Sica
