Joe,

I'm no expert, but have had some experience recently that may be
helpful. I aquired a Philco 49-1605 console about 1-1/2 months ago.
It has the 33RPM/78RPM turntable (model M9C). The gentleman who
shipped me the manuals accidentally shipped the M9 turntable manual for
the model before mine (49-1602/1604). The M9 turntable is 78RPM only.
It leads me to believe that my model was one of the first with the LP
turntable. I would say that yours is the 78 only model if the numbers
run consecutively. I'll look at my documentation to see if it shows
your model. I am at work, so I'm going by memory. My documentation is
at home. If I find anything on the documentation, I'll repost.
