Hi Guys,

I'm pretty sure John is right. There should be a mirrored 
strip along the bottom of the dial scale. Neat radio!

Sounds to me like the 6L7 mixer and 6J7 oscillator have been 
"replaced" by the 6J6's.  (Yuck!)
