Hi Guys:
Nice seeing all you tonight.
It's really great being with you and sharing Radio Stuff.
When I got home, I found my package...inside is what appears to be a National
Radio.
I don't have a picture to show you - yet.
Here's a basic description:
10 tubes - 6J7, 6B8, 6C5, 2-6J6's, 3-6K7's, 25L6, 25Z5.
Ham band only...from 160 to 10 meters...with NO 15 meters.
Dial is rectangular...and looks like the 'sloping' one on the NC46 with one
large tuning knob...again similar to the NC46.
Front panel has stamped control markings...no other markings except the word
"National" on the dial face...left side.
No ID whatsover...prototype?...back panel has stamped number C245.
Has power cord...not battery.
Unit has side screws ( right side) to attach antenna connection.
Speaker is auxiliary - back of unit..I don't have the speaker.
Certain metal containers ( IF's?) have "NC" stamped...and what looks like
capacitor cans have date "1937 patent".
Panel & body is grey wrinkle...access is via top panel held with screws.
To access chassis, the whole 4 sided enclosure must be unscrewed & lifted
up...to late tonight to 'screw around" ...hi hi.
Any ideas?
Tnx,
Steve
