Hello,
I have a locatl tube socket that has one loose contact in the base. Is
there an adhesive that will withstand the heat in a radio and secure the
contact in the base? I hesitate using CA cement as it releases an obnoxious odor
when it gets too hot. The contact is loose enough that when a tube is inserted,
it could push the contact out of its spot on the base. As a last resort, I
could replace the socket, but I have no way to duplicate the rivets that secure
the socket to the chassis. FYI, this is a Philco 40-150 and its the 7J7
socket in the Detector/Oscilator stage.

Thanks,
Joe Devonshire
