Thanks to all those who showed up last Saturday: Marv, Dave Snellman,
Nick Senker, Marsha & Jerry, Bob Pilcher Fred Carl and myself. It was a
nice day and we got a lot done:
Moved extraneous stuff not needed at this time to the library building
across the street so we can start planning a layout.
Generally cleaned up (we kind of left a mess the last time).
Scrapped paint in the larger room upstairs so we can paint it and make
it our temporary library.
Scrapped and cleaned up all the peeling paint in the kitchen, cannot
believe how much better it looks.
Fixed door locks and other misc. chores.
Disassembled the chassis from the Stromberg Carlson console radio so
cabinet repair can commence.
Started work on cataloging all ex Sarnoff books and moved some upstairs.

Our plan is to set up three rooms using NBHofF items. Room #1; Early
radio history and pre-broadcasting, Room #2; Radio Enters the Home, Room
#3; The Golden Age of Radio. To accomplish this, we must do the following:
1. Complete the book inventory and move them upstairs.
2. Remove some office furniture that is currently covered with books.
3. Do something with the humidity damaged floors. We are currently
seeking estimates on sanding and refinishing.
4. Clean up and repair the display cabinets that we have and make a
floor plan.
5. Paint as necessary and install air conditioners.

Many thanks to Bob Pilcher for completing the alarm system and Fred Carl
for hauling away the stuff that was in our way and getting it into the
building across the street. July 24th is scheduled as another work day
but only if you are not planning to attend the repair clinic at Sarnoff,
that is first priority for that date. Work at the cottage can be
arranged almost anytime, several members now have keys to the building
so if you are available at other times contact me. We're making good
progress and let's keep the momentum going.
Ray
