Hi All,
Next weekend starts the AM DX contest.  Here are a couple of hints.

If your radio is not well calibrated, make a chart or graph ahead of time=

using known local stations.

The period around sunrise is the best for stations to the west.  Sunset c=
an
be good for stations to the south,  because stations to the west are stil=

in daylight.

Antenna, Antenna, Antenna.  The ability to discriminate between multiple
stations on the same frequency gives you a tremendous advantage.  A
rotatable loop like Al Klase's gives a figure-8 shape pattern that lets y=
ou
reject the dominant station on a frequency and look for the others

Al's loop.  Even just having several different wire antennas can let you
find different stations on one frequency.
