just got back from the meet.  it was (is) great!  hat's off to ron and the guys
at cc-awa.  they put on a nice show.  every meet should adopt the "lemans
start".  it makes everything fair and you don't have to be going around with a
flashlight in the middle of the night. just about every space was full. notes
on the flea market... definitely a buyers market today.  i bought a philco 16b
in the larger tombstone cabinet with the 10" speaker for 100 bucks.  needs a
little tlc, but that's my passion. bought a truetone 724d for 35.00. solid
radio.  good performer.  catalins were going for below market value.  the guy
beside me sold an absolutely beautiful green and black swirled bendix for
490.00.  i sold my bullet for 750.00.  i sold several other radios that were
"garage shelf" sets.  i won't miss them a bit.  sold a zenith 3000-1 for 60.00.
  battery sets (mid twenties) are still cheaper than dirt (really). i could not
give a kolster 6d away for 40.00. not a whole lot of parts though.  maybe more
will be there in the morning. there a nice US radio tombstone that i regret not
buying....
