Just a reminder.
The Simulated Emergency Test will begin on November
9th at approximately 0830 hours local. It will last
for approximately 2 to 3 hours.
The planned HF operational frequency will be the NV
Section ARES alternate frequency of 7.280+/- Mhz.
Again the SET will be a simulated winter weather storm
crossing the State with snow levels lowering to 6,000
ft. Each ARES group will be reporting simulated
conditions to a liaison Net control station who will
then report to the primary NV ARES Net control
station.
Information will be exchanged between the Las Vegas
and Reno NWS offices. The communications centers at
the Clark County Emergency Communications Center and
the V.A. in Northern NV will also be operational.
Finalized plans are being made within each local ARES
organization. Please contact your local ARES EC's or
Training Officers for further information and
assignments. ARES EC's will be evaluating the exercise
to be sent to their respective NV District EC's.
