I agree that we should try 40M. At the end of Saturday's net, there was
talk of trying it next week or the week after, at 7245 kHz.
While this band change may improve across-the-state propagation, it
might worsen next-county propagation. Glen, last year we tried a Las
Vegas Regional Skywarn net in the evenings on 40M. You in Las Vegas and
I in Pahrump (60 miles apart) had difficulty hearing each other.
In my opinion, a better solution is to use 75M but at an earlier time,
such as 7 AM when propagation still is good on 75M. 3965 kHz is used by
a California group at 7 AM, but perhaps we can find an unoccupied nearby
frequency. =20
