Greetings to All -

Two years ago, I was appointed Section Emergency Coordinator by Jan Welsh,
NK7N. There was much work to be done with the section ARES organization
and I set out to do what I could. Much has been accomplished in that time
and
our ARES membership has grown considerably statewide.

Recently, my wife, Peggy, was laid off due to a reorganization of her
company
and is no longer employed. We have decided to relocate and move away from
the Reno area where we have been for almost seven years. This move will
take
place in a few weeks but, I felt it was appropriate that I resign as SEC and
also
recommend a replacement who shares the same goals and vision that I do.

Therefore, effective April 30th, I will no longer be SEC for Nevada. Then,
as of
May 1st, Dick Creley, KJ7UK, will officially become Section Emergency
Coordi-
nator and continue on in my place. Dick is well qualified and has a proven
track
record with the DCART (Douglas County Amateur Radio Team) in training and
service to the community.

I have enjoyed representing the Amateur Radio Emergency Service as SEC and
with miss the friendships made and times shared with all who I have come in
contact with as SEC. Thank you for all your time and work providing a
strong
service to our communities. There is much to look forward to in the near
future
for amateur radio volunteer emergency communications so, stay prepared.
