I've been scanning the GMRS frequencies around the front range for the last
month or two and I've heard a few people talking on 462.575. The
interesting thing is that I can hear them when they're talking about things
in Loveland when I'm all the way down in Lafayette. I was just wondering
if they're using a repeater (and if so, how much power they're using). If
not, how they manage to get such a good signal so far away.
I'm pretty new to GMRS (WQXJ685) and would like to simulate their setup if
possible so I can get similar range out of my equipment.
I heard them talk about the Wednesday night NCARC ham net, so I'm using
this as a possible channel to get in touch with them via email.
