Greetings, All!

I'm pleased to announce that Perry Lundquist, W6AUN, will be teaching his Introduction to Public Safety Communications course in Fort Collins on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:30am inside Colorado State University's Lory Student Center Room 312. This course will focus on the systems used in Colorado by public safety professionals (Law, Fire, EMS, SAR, local governments) and if/when/how/why we can help those professionals. All are welcome, even those who do not have their license - Perry will assume the audience has at least a basic understanding of how two-way radio systems work, however. If you work closely with an agency/government representative, feel free to invite them, as well.

I'll have the doors open at 9:00am, and the class will start promptly at 9:30am. Please be aware that CSU regulations prohibit me from serving food and drink at this event, so please plan accordingly. The course takes about three hours and is free of charge. Please be courteous to your fellow attendees and keep phones and radios turned off or on vibrate. There is free parking just North of the student center (1101 Central Avenue Mall, Fort Collins, CO 80521) - both the "A" and "Pay to Park" sections of the lot is free on weekends. RSVPs are not required (but never hurt!) - just show up on game day and have a seat!

Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you then!

73,

Alex Cabrall, KD0RML
