[NCARC] [Help] Tuning Second-Hand Mobile

Hello folks,

I'm new to the mailing list. I hope it's not rude to ask, but-

I've a second-hand Kenwood TK-7160 mobile that is a decade or more old.
Perfectly functional, but I suspect the tuning is out of date as the
passives can drift over the years. For example, even the lowest level of
squelch currently chops up some weak transmissions (forcing squelch open
during RX confirms the signal is weak but there)

I could have this done by a professional shop, but it's the sort of thing I
would enjoy getting hands-on with. I can program the radio and can use bench
equipment. Unfortunately I don't currently own a SWR meter, power meter,
power supply, frequency generator, dummy load, etc and I sold my dso many
years ago.

Is this something a list member with a bench would like to help out with?
For some reasonable form of compensation, of course.
