Hi Bryan (cc to NCARC e-mailing list)

Thanks very much for your request to use the repeater intermittently this
Sunday morning for the Marathon-- this is exactly the type of use that NCARC
likes to sponsor. Please go ahead and make use of the repeater this Sunday
Oct 5 between 7am and 2pm. Thanks for helping support this event!

All NCARC hams-- please respect this event and where feasible assist Bryan
and Dan on this event. As needed please help remind other hams to give
priority to this team.

'73 and good luck!

Steve Henry, N7GN
NCARC President

Subject: Repeater Traffic Request

Steve,
I am writing this note to request use of your 70 Centimeter repeater on
Sunday for support of a marathon on the Blue Sky Trail between Fort Collins
and Loveland. First let me apologize for the lateness of the request, the
race is Sunday, Oct 5. The marathon and beneficiary information can be found
at http://www.blueskymarathon.com/beneficiaries/

The expected traffic would be between two Technician licensed operators, me
KC5VAL and Dan Turk KD0BOV. There would be no emergency traffic and the
traffic would be intermittent between 7 AM and 2 PM. We would be speaking
between Sodeburg park in Fort Collins and part of the Blue Sky Trail west of
Loveland. The primary use communications would be to provide information
about various runner locations, aid station needs, and other general race
traffic. I would expect we would have traffic at most every 10 minutes. We
are not asking for dedicated usage of the repeater, only for your and the
club approval to add extra atypical Sunday traffic.

Again, I apologize for the late notice and request. If there is another
forum I should provide this request, I will be glad to do so.

Thanks for your consideration,

Bryan Trammell
