QST to all NCARC hams:

We're looking for a short (20-25 minute) presentation for the January 21st
NCARC meeting. Now's your opportunity to show off a fun project or aspect
of ham radio. Or-maybe you have gotten stuck on a project or a topic and
want to discuss that. This might also be an opportunity for you to learn
something new and tell others about it at the meeting. Some ideas to get you
thinking:

-A project you've done over the last year and want to "show and tell"
-Build and share making a tape measure transmitter hunt antenna
-Demonstrate NVIS and help us understand how it works
-How to have good emergency power
-How batteries work, how to measure them, keep them charged
-Managing interference
-A tour of your shack (show pictures)
-Demonstrate the Electraft QRP radio
-Satellite operations
-How to use a Smith Chart and why and when (Willis?!)
-Show and tell of the new 7K repeater controller (Bob?!)
-How does antenna modeling software work, demonstration
-1000's of other topics - just look through the index of a ham radio
handbook or go out to the www.arrl.org website and start poking around.
Learn about something and come share it!

These presentations have been very popular and we want at least one of these
each month. My hope is that almost everyone has an opportunity to share a
session with us. I can provide the presentation materials (digital
projector, laptop, flipchart, audio equipment, etc.).

Please either email me directly at steveh291 at comcast.net or to this
distribution list. Be a real ham!!!
