Hi folks-
We're very close to having the two new repeaters ready to go up at the
Horsetooth site. We have one more repeater programming operation that
George, AB0SF, should be able to perform tomorrow on the VHF Vertex
repeater. The UHF Vertex repeater is all set to go. The next step is to
get the repeater rack , repeaters, tuned duplexers, and the associated
interface electronics and cabling transported up to the Horsetooth site and
complete the installation.
Tentatively we need someone with a 4-wheel drive vehicle that can carry one
or two other people and the repeaters and repeater rack (4x4 pickup is fine)
up to the Horsetooth site. We could probably use one to two additional
volunteers for moving the existing repeaters. I'd like to target this
coming Saturday October 8th at around 11:00 am to pick up the repeater
equipment and then take it up to the NCARC site. We would expect to be back
to Fort Collins by around 6:00 pm at the latest (probably a lot sooner but
with these projects you always need to plan lots of buffer time).
Any takers? George and I will firm up the plans tomorrow afternoon based
on completion of the repeater programming step.
