Hello All,
Just got back from vacation and I went through most of
my emails. In going through everything that has
transpired the last couple weeks, I accidentally
deleted Steve's email that had what was done to the
.625 repeater. Can somene send that to me? I'd
appreciate it.
I know this is a strange request, but the only dumb
question is the one not asked. Does anyone have 2,
8-10 ft. RG-214 jumpers, N-Male to PL-259 (Male)? The
problem you are hearing with the .115 repeater is
likely not interference per say, rather it is "duplex
noise" being generated by poor TX and RX cables and a
duplexer that is in dire need of retuning.
And now for the repeater party...
I am looking tentatively (haven't seen what I need to
do for work yet.) at either Saturday morning, July 2,
or Monday morning, July 4, to get these new repeaters
up on the hill. I need about three others to help, and
preferably at least one person with a 4x4 that has the
ability to bring the volunteers up the hill. If you're
able to help out, please give me a call any time at
(303) 961-0841.
Also, I have the VHF and UHF repeaters mounted in a
"new" rack in my basement. All that is needed now is
to have a base made to hold the VHF duplexer, brackets
to hold the repeaters, make a ground buss for the
rack, figure out what is needed to wire up the 7K's to
the respective repeaters, and to make the
repeater/controller cables.
If anyone has a collection of metal DB-9 and DB-25
hoods and is willing to part with a couple of each,
that would be a tremendous help, too.
George, AB0SF
