Microwave frequencies have unique challenges.
For one, they do not travel through dirt or water.
Green vegetation looks similar to water to microwaves.
'mesh' is a topology, 802.11n is a protocol. I do not understand 'mesh
settings'.
Standard Wi-Fi modes are Access Point, Client, and Ad-hoc.
AREDN networking uses the 'Ad-hoc' mode.
The 'Mesh' topology is not a requirement, in fact, AREDN performs most
poorly
when deployed in mesh topology.
Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint topology typically performs much
better.
Perhaps better known as 'star', 'hub', LAN, or VLAN topology.
