Hi, Bob:

  Comparing LoRa to AREDN

  * Long range: *10 km* under perfect conditions .vs. *21 km* in local
    practice.
  * Cost of entry: within a factor of 2x to 1/2x. Even.
  * Data rate: maximum 27 kbps (theory) .vs. maximum 100,000 kbps (local
    practice).


I recommend emailing the local ham radio club's reflectors and talking 
this up on
DARA's 'Thursday Night Group'.
