Chuck, I use the ones listed below for my ntp server. As a side note my server is OpenSuse.

I have a DNS caching server running on my server as well. It's pointed at both Google's DNS server and CloudFlare's DNS server for address resolution. With Cloudflare as the first (1.1.1.1) of the two (along with IPv6). Then all of my local computers are pointed to my local DNS caching server. The server keeps the DNS info based on the TTL (Time To Live) value the source DNS provides. That speeds up surfing as it's cached locally and reduces the data usage of my internet connection.

NTP servers:
   server 0.north-america.pool.ntp.org
   server 1.north-america.pool.ntp.org
   server 2.north-america.pool.ntp.org
   server 3.north-america.pool.ntp.org
