Keeping this on the list in case we learn something. ;-)
I found the loss of resolving the ubuntu.pool
(error resolving pool /[0-3]/.ubuntu.pool.ntp.org: Name or service not
known)
in the syslog./#/ file.
Since the ntp server on the home server lost its upstream servers, it
would have started drifting.
I am remote now and have left the WSJTX powered down, so I don't have
access to its log files.
I am not seeing a log entry in the home server's syslog file indicating
a repair from an ntp 'drift'
after internet access was restored.
I see that there may be some ntp logging settings that might have caused
/"sync Messages about the synchronization state"/
to have been logged.
