[MVMA] Is this the surge protector that DARA wants?

I live in Washington Township, so Bellbrook is fine. I have no issue with the DARA Clubhouse either. Just need a Projector. I can bring a computer or use what is there. I have attended one of your meetings at both locations, just being curious.
I did volunteer to help teach Tech and General classes for DARA. However I do not yet know when they want me to cover a class.
Keep in mind lightning jumped miles through the air. It takes a lot of isolation to avoid arc over. Getting them grounded and bonded is a better choice, verse just disconnected.

Chuck, I am listed on the ARRL list of available speakers, so that might happen. I could do a presentation at one of the Mesh meetings. It takes about an hour.
The major issue at DARA was the service entrance didn't have a ground rod. It was added the day after I did a walk through and listed all the issues the site had including the likelyhood it didn't have one. All of their towers only have 1 ground rod. They need to have at least one ground rod per leg. Along with getting a bonding connection between the services and towers.
Most houses have cable, phone and power coming in at different locations, without a bonding connection between them. That does not meet current codes.
Ward Silver N0AX, author of the ARRL book on bonding and grounding was one of the reviewers of my presentation. Along with Al Torres KP4AQI, and John Monteith WB8YXD. Ward does presentations by Skipe. I will do Skipe if the club meeting is more than 2 hours away.

Hi, Jim:
I feel that your presentation at a Mesh meeting would be marvelous.
We meet at either DARA clubhouse or Bellbrook ARC clubhouse on second Saturdays at 09:30-11:30.
Normally even months at DARA and odd months at BARC.
DARA has license classes in October, so we will likely again meet at BARC next month.
I think we can easily schedule your hour in lieu of our BOGSAT sub-group time.
Oh, yeah, now that you mention it, my service is grounded but not Spectrum cable and
my (unused) telephone cables. I think I'll disconnect my home from the telephone service box.
