[MVMA] Registration for Winlink Express: Is this for real?

You have a very similar setup to me (I use Ubuntu Linux with a windows
virtual box).
When you create the "New" message, what did you set the "Send as:" box to?
It should be "Peer-to-Peer Message". You do need a Subject so maybe you did
not type one (it won't post without a subject I found out the hard way)?
Once you have the message ready, there is a menu item along the top labeled
"Post to Outbox". Click on that and it should put your email message in the
Outbox folder.
