That would be the wise way to do Winlink* locally.
There are DMR repeaters, why not packet AX.25 repeaters?

I don't have a packet station set up.
I am interested in attempting a peer-to-peer telnet link using the local 
MVMA mesh network.
I have installed Winlink Express v1-5-14-0 using windows emulator in 
Linux Mint Mate 17.
I can 'Message -> New', but I cannot 'Post to Outbox'.
Is there an 'Outbox' configuration that perhaps I have omitted?
