Rumors among the IT community is that Ubiquiti will eventually cease production of all SISO devices; then mfgrng MIMO only. I see this as a two front effort:Front #1... suggest to new areas (not located within our grids coverage area) who are starting MESH for the first time... to go straight to MIMO. Their high profile nodes can still be omni, but they could be rockets with MIMO omnis. Home users can use NanoStations... of if they have a decent tower, they too could install a Rocket/MIMO omni. Front #2 (the more difficult one) is how to migrate an existing installed base away from SISO... and over to MIMO What we know from experience is that Nanostations (MIMO) do communicate with Bullet/Omni's without any issues. So maybe when it comes to future recommendations to new Meshies in our local area... to no longer suggest SISO devices for their QTH.
