...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN SUSSEX AND
SOUTHEASTERN KENT COUNTIES...
At 155 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Big Stone
Beach, or 18 miles west of Cape May, moving southeast at 10 mph.
Wind gusts up to 45 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm. Although the storm should mostly stay off shore, wind gusts
up to 45 mph could reach several miles inland away from the main
storm.
Locations impacted include...
Dover, Milford, Camden, Lewes, Milton, Ellendale, Bowers, Henlopen
Acres, Rising Sun-Lebanon, Cape Henlopen State Park, Rising Sun,
Dover Base Housing, Big Stone Beach, Wyoming, Frederica, Houston,
Dewey Beach, Magnolia, Rodney Village and Riverview.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
